    Historic hotel looks ahead with new face, name

    Although hotel ownership has passed from family to corporate and back since its inception, the name has changed only twice, from the Heady Hotel to the Heritage Hotel, then most recently to King's Landing. Alborn explained that the new moniker ties in with his other regal/fantasy themed businesses — Excalibur Construction and his fantasy gaming business, the Dragon's Den.

    Named after the original proprietors Al and Esther Heady, the historic Heady Hotel was built in 1947 of three-sided spruce logs, while later additions consisted of cedar log siding over frame construction.
